The HKUST Musical tradition goes way back with a joyful collective memory, for which there is always a special place in the hearts of many music and drama enthusiasts in the University Community. It brings together extraordinary talents to create an exceptional Broadway musical experience.
In 2021, HKUST unveiled the stunning Shaw Auditorium—a cutting-edge venue that has redefined the performing arts landscape on campus. With this exciting development, the Shaw Auditorium Unit proudly brought back the musical The Music Man in March 2024 and The Spelling Bee in March 2025, extending its reach to the broader community. Building on this success, the Shaw Auditorium Unit will continue to uphold the legacy of the musical tradition for the HKUST Community.
