In this talk, you would learn
- How to assess your own mental health needs
- Local statistics on men's mental health and common problems faced by men, including the impact of cultural expectations
- Obstacles that men face when seeking help
- The DOTS framework for promoting men's mental health
- The concept of acceptance - the differences between being aware of our thoughts and feelings and avoiding or denying them
- The choice-point theory, psychological flexibility and self-care
