Whether you are a man or woman, this talk will provide valuable insights into men's mental health and equip you with practical tools for promoting your own mental well-being. 

In this talk, you would learn

  • How to assess your own mental health needs
  • Local statistics on men's mental health and common problems faced by men, including the impact of cultural expectations 
  • Obstacles that men face when seeking help
  • The DOTS framework for promoting men's mental health
  • The concept of acceptance - the differences between being aware of our thoughts and feelings and avoiding or denying them
  • The choice-point theory, psychological flexibility and self-care
