"Smart@GWIN" E&M IoT Application Challenge - Launching Ceremony

Government-Wide IoT Network (GWIN) is a government network of wireless sensors installed throughout Hong Kong to support various smart applications to assist digitalization of Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) equipment and improve the public service quality. To promote widespread application of GWIN in daily life, optimise smart city management and enhance the quality of public life, in order to maximise the value of public services for the community, EMSD will organise GWIN Competition in May to October 2022, which opens to 3 sectors, i.e. primary, secondary and tertiary education.

Students from each sector will participate in two stages of the Competition, contributing their innovative and creative ideas on how GWIN can provide near real-time monitoring of the E&M systems through the wide area remote monitoring systems, and further improve the quality and reliability of public services. To support this large-scale Competition, various activities would be conducted in the next few months such as Launching Ceremony, GWIN Workshop, Summer Camp, etc. Shortlisted team will showcase their projects in Inno@E&M Open Day 2022 in upcoming October which is one of the celebration event of 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR.
