The School of Engineering invites you to an exclusive industrial visit to Shenzhen, tailored specifically for students interested in AI. This is a unique opportunity to explore cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence and robotics firsthand.

Delve into fundamental AI research and innovation at the AI lab of Peking University's prestigious Shenzhen Research Institute.
Details:
- Date: Saturday, November 22, 2025
- Time: 8:00 AM departure from campus, returning by approximately 6:00 PM.
- Lunch: A complimentary lunch will be provided during the trip.
- Cost: Fully subsidized by the School of Engineering. Students are required to pay a fully refundable HKD $100 deposit to secure their spot.
- Quota: Limited to 40 students (priority given to AI students).
Important Notes for Applicants:
- Visa: Participants are solely responsible for securing valid travel documents for Mainland China.
- Hong Kong citizens must possess a valid 港澳居民來往內地通行證 (Home Return Permit).
- International and other students must check visa requirements and apply for a Chinese Visa if needed. We strongly advise checking requirements immediately via the Chinese Visa application service centre. The university cannot assist with the application process.
- Language: The visits may be conducted primarily in Mandarin. Limited English support will be available.
- HMAW-recognised : This is a HMAW1905-recognised event in the “Personal Enrichment & Community Service” category under the “Self-directed Experience” of HMAW1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness. Students who attended the event in full are eligible to receive 3 hours.
