Description:

Intimacy, sexuality and sexual expression are basic human needs.  Our understanding towards sex and intimacy affects how we see ourselves and the relationships with others.  This workshop will discuss the relationship between having a healthy view on sexuality and its impacts on overall psychological well-being.  By achieving positive relationships, you will enjoy the companionship, excitement, fulfillment of emotional pleasure and love.

Dr. Wong is a Specialist in Psychiatry and the Director of Hong Kong Psychiatry and Integrated Medical Centre. He is also a  psychiatrist in University Health Service of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a fellow of the Hong Kong College of Psychiatrists and the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Psychiatry). He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK. He is a Certified Sex Therapist of the Hong Kong Association of Sexuality Educators, Researchers & Therapists Limited. He holds a Master of Law (Medical Law). He is a Neuro-Linguistic Programming Certified Practitioner.

He is a honorary consultant of Unit for Learning Achievement, Student Affairs Offices, Caritas Institute of Higher Education and Caritas Bianchi College of Careers. He is heavily involved in community work with multiple non-government organizations such as Lok Chi Association Limited, Mental Health Association of Hong Kong, St. James’ Settlement etc. He is a columnist in Joyful Youth, Kung Kao Po. He is a radio presenter at Radio Television Hong Kong. He is an author of many book publications.

 

Mr. Hugo has provided group and counselling services for children and youth for over 13 years. He currently focuses on sexual minority services. He also provided sex education programs for different social service organizations, private organizations and colleges, as well as providing voluntary sex therapy consultation for deprived groups.

 Mr. Hugo has completed the ABRSM Certificate and NASM International Fitness Instructor Certificate courses. He has been a piano teacher for more than 10 years. He likes to integrate sports, music and art into his therapeutic works. In addition, Mr. Hugo is also the male instructor, vice-chairman and dancer of the only Turkish-style belly dance school in Hong Kong. He is good at inducing students' strengths, muscle co-ordination and performance potential. Because of the belly dance induced controversy on gender stereotypes, Mr. Hugo has been interviewed by Apple Daily, Next Weekly, Viu TV, FM 903, D100 and other medias to illustrate the struggling among social work, sex therapy and belly dance.
