Private Screening of "To My 19-year-old Self" 《給十九歲的我》

6:30pm - 9:45pm
MCL Cinemas Plus+ Plaza Hollywood

You are cordially invited to a private screening of To My 19-year-old Self (給十九歲的我) by the internationally acclaimed director Ms. Mabel CHEUNG Yuen Ting (張婉婷導演). The film chronicles the growth of 6 students through their journey in Ying Wa Girls’ School since 2011 – from their time in the century-old Robinson Road Campus to the decanting school in Sham Shui Po.

This coming-of-age documentary captures a young generation’s search for identity as they weather turbulent changes in life. As we facilitate students’ self-discovery in university, their honest narratives help us pause and reflect on the roles we play to create an environment for them to learn and grow, as advisors, facilitators and educators.

Meticulously crafted and courageously presented, this 2-hr documentary is a snapshot into the decade-long filming that resulted in 15,528 hours of footage. First released at the 46th Hong Kong International Film Festival in Aug 2022, the documentary is now brought exclusively to the HKUST community.
