About the Speakers

Dr Francis Lau, PhD, CFA, FRM
Dr Lau is a seasoned finance practitioner with over 20 years’ analytics, compliance, operations, research and risk management experiences from multinational banks and vendors. His subject matter expertise includes building enterprise-wide risk management framework, enhancing effectiveness of business decision making with analytics, strengthening corporate governance structure of organizations and streamlining management reporting processes. In addition to industry experiences, Dr Lau is also passionate in education. He develops and delivers academic and executive education programs for corporations, professional associations and universities. He has practical experiences in teaching financial modelling, programming, quantitative analysis and risk management. In recent years, Dr Lau actively engage in the development and delivery of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data and FinTech related programs.

Miss Florence Lam

As a professional bilingual writer and translator with over 10 years' cross-border business development experiences with enterprises in China and Hong Kong, Miss Lam is experienced with cross-cultural business settings, especially in negotiation and localization. She works closely with Chinese education institutes for study tour projects and is specialized in developing and delivering training courses for University students in China. She is also passionate in supporting students and young professionals to upgrade their practical knowledge and cope with the fast changing commercial world.
