HKUST MSc in Data-Driven Modeling - Expert Sharing Seminar by Dr. Shuyu CHEN
We are excited to have Dr Shuyu Chen, a CEO of Acoustic Metamaterials Group, introduce the latest advancements in product development using acoustic metamaterial technology. Various job roles, including R&D engineers and project managers, will be introduced during the seminar.
The seminar is open to all HKUST members.

Seminar Overview:
In this presentation, I will discuss the latest advancements in product development using acoustic metamaterial technology. The seminar will cover various job roles, including R&D engineers and project managers, that are involved in this field.
About the Speakers
Dr. Shuyu CHEN, co-founder of Acoustic Metamaterials Group, is an expert in the commercialization of advanced materials. He obtained his BSc and PhD degrees in Physics from Zhejiang University and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, respectively. He was a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Germany. Dr. Chen also serves as a director of the Hong Kong R&D center for Lepu Medical Technology (SZ300003). His primary research areas include soft condensed matter physics and acoustic metamaterials. In 2014, Dr. Chen founded Acoustic Metamaterials Group in Hong Kong, China, with a focus on the technology innovation and commercialization of acoustic metamaterials, aiming to provide revolutionary acoustic materials for various industries. Today, Acoustic Metamaterials Group has emerged as a leader in the innovation of acoustic metamaterials, being the first globally to achieve low-cost mass production and large-scale commercial application of acoustic metamaterials as building and construction materials and functional components in consumer electronics.
