This talk will provide an overview of the origins, development, and applications of electro-optical tracking systems, with a particular focus on recent advances in next-generation distributed electro-optical tracking systems. The presentation will discuss key technical aspects, including high-precision control and distributed state estimation, and will highlight their roles in improving tracking accuracy, system robustness, and cooperative sensing capability.

Dr. Tong Guo
Chinese Academy of Sciences

Tong Guo received his B.S. degree from the School of Mathematics, Sichuan University, in 2020, and his Ph.D. degree in Engineering from the Institute of Optics and Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2026. His research interests include electro-optical tracking systems and distributed state estimation. During his doctoral studies, he was awarded the National Scholarship for Doctoral Students and the Best Paper Award at the Chinese Automation Congress.
