We would like to introduce the Concept and Power of Social Entrepreneurship Partnerships to you!
The Success of these Partnerships for Social Impact is the result of:
- The creativity and committed work of HKUST Students/Alumni
- The generous philanthropy of the Yeh Family Philanthropy Foundation
- The think-out-of-the-box mindset of our Social Venture Partners and
- The HKUST Professor Marie Rosencrantz, who always encourages students to try new ideas
In Professor Rosencrantz’s course, social venture partner organizations work with UST students on socially impactful projects. At the end of each semester, HKD 250,000 in grant funding from the Yeh Family Philanthropy is awarded to the most outstanding team project to turn its ideas into reality.
Since we started this collaboration in 2013, more than 40 different Social Venture Partners have worked with our students and 11 projects have received a total of HKD 2.75 M in Grant Funding from the Yeh Family Philanthropy. This is a true win-win-win collaboration!
This 1st seminar in our series will showcase three Grant-Winning Projects which benefit different local communities here in Hong Kong, including the Poor, Elderly and Children with special needs, as well as the Environment.
So come join us! It will be a great learning experience for those who wish to contribute to the common good and learn about Innovative Social Entrepreneurship!
