Abstract
Room-temperature self-healing polyurethanes have attracted extensive attention as smart materials capable of spontaneously repairing damage under mild conditions, which extend their lifetimes and reduce maintenance costs. Thanks to easy tailoring properties of self-healing polyurethanes, they have been widely used in many fields such as coatings, adhesives, textiles, biomaterials, and flexible electronics. This talk describes room-temperature self-healing polyurethanes based on dynamic covalent bonds and non-covalent bonds, focusing on their synthetic methods, self-healing mechanisms, mechanical properties, healing efficiency and healing time.
