Abstract

DNA nanopore technologies have gained significant attention for pharmaceutical assays, particularly for real-time quantitative monitoring. These technologies enable the direct identification and detection of biomolecules by measuring changes in ionic current as the molecules pass through nanopores. This process enhances assay sensitivity while preserving the original sample integrity. Moreover, the nanopore platforms allow for customized assays that can be scaled from initial discovery to clinical validation, significantly benefiting biopharma R&D. Leading companies are already utilizing nanopore sequencing for antibody discovery, effectively identifying rare clones and capturing full-length sequences to accelerate de novo discovery. As a result, these technologies are poised to establish nanopores as a powerful tool in pharmaceutical research and development.
