Sustainable Structural Systems: form timber to bamboo

Over the past decades, timber structure research has undergone a resurgence driven by the widespread adoption of mass timber construction, spanning a broad and diverse range of topics. This seminar outlines the speaker’s recent research on timber structures, covering non-destructive testing of light-frame wood I-joists, connection performance in prefabricated timber floor systems, mass timber floor systems and bio-based material development, and directions for future work.
