Apply for the Beijing Flag-Raising Exchange Trip 2026 (Chinese Students Only)

We are excited to invite applications for the 2nd Beijing Flag-raising Exchange Trip for University Students 2026. This meaningful event is organized by the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association, with support from Bank of China (Hong Kong), for students from 10 Hong Kong universities. It offers a unique opportunity for participants to witness flag-raising at Tiananmen Square in a prestigious area, follow by the Tiananmen Flag Guard Team's close-up demonstrations and exchange.

Trip dates: 31 May – 4 June 2026 (5 days)

Eligibility: Full-time HKUST students of Chinese nationality who can speak Putonghua

Commitment: Attendance required at all pre- and post-trip training sessions, as well as the full trip

Participation fee: HK$3,000
- Outstanding participants who are invited to join the HKUST Flag Guard Team will receive a HK$2,000 subsidy from the University.
- Eligible local students may also apply for further subsidies from the government.
- Details will be provided upon admission.

Remarks
- Limited quota. Only shortlisted students will be invited for a selection interview. 
- Preference will be given to those with previous flag guard experience.
