Han Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Social Science at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. in Sociology from Princeton University, and his B.S. in Computer Science and B.A. from Peking University. His research interests include computational social science, social movements, social networks, and methodology. His past research have been published in Sociological Methodology and Chinese Sociological Review. He has won the Mayer N. Zald Distinguished Contribution to Scholarship Student Paper Award from the Section on Collective Behavior and Social Movements of American Sociological Association and Best Paper Award from the Method Section of the International Communication Association.
