Dr Carla-Leanne Washbourne is an Associate Professor in STEaPP at UCL. Her work focuses on policymaking in cities, focusing on environmental and sustainability issues. She chairs UN-Habitat’s Global Urban Observatory Network and has provided technical contributions on the monitoring of SDG 11 to the UN’s high-level political forum.
Veronica Li is a PhD Candidate in STEaPP at UCL. Her research explores the purposes and implications of using evidence and personal data in sustainable smart cities. She graduated with a Master of Philosophy from the Division of Public Policy at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2021.
Dr Vivi Antonopoulou is a Senior Research Fellow for the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Behavioural Science based in the Centre for Behaviour Change at UCL, providing research evidence for the Department of Health and Social Care. Vivi’s current research focuses on optimising behaviour change interventions targeting healthcare professionals’ practice and on synthesising evidence to inform health-related policies. Her research interests include using behaviour change theory and models to design effective interventions, knowledge transfer and engagement with policymakers, and implementation of research evidence into practice. Vivi is a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Dr Henry Potts is a Professor at the Institute of Health Informatics, UCL. His research focuses on the evaluation and development of digital health tools. He was the academic lead for the GOV.UK project “Evaluating Digital Health Products”. He also worked on the COVID-19 response, advising the UK government and health service.
Masaru Yarime is an Associate Professor at the Division of Public Policy and the Division of Environment and Sustainability at HKUST. He also has an appointment as an Honorary Associate Professor in STEaPP at UCL. He is interested in exploring data-driven innovation, including artificial intelligence and smart cities, to address sustainability challenges and implications for public policy and governance.
