This seminar outlines an enthusiastic vision of a faculty candidacy at the pioneering HKUST School of Medicine, structured across three core segments. The first part traces a professional journey evolving from a neurosurgeon into a dedicated biomedical educator and translational neuroscientist. The second part highlights major research discoveries using emerging technologies and preclinical models to define Vascular Contributions to Cognitive Impairment and Dementia. The final part outlines opportunities to leverage the candidate’s interdisciplinary expertise in medical teaching, mentoring, and translational neuroscience research within the new school of medicine. The talk expresses sincere commitment to this vibrant academic community, sharing deep excitement to support a transformative, technology-driven model of medical education that helps cultivate the next generation of global physician-scientists.
