HKUST Arts Festival 2023 - Talk and Demonstration: Cantonese Opera Costumes, Props and Masks by Prof. Chan Sau Yan

The talk will focus on the variety and symbolism of costumes, masks and make-up of Cantonese opera, which correspond to the various roles of characters in this traditional art form of southern China. Common props used in classical Cantonese opera scenes will also be introduced.

• Free admission with registration.

         活動只供科大成員、「科大之友」和受邀嘉賓參與。

• Online registration is required; each registration admits one person regardless of age 

         參與活動必須預先網上登記；幼童不論年齡亦須憑票或預先登記入場。

• Please arrive 15 minutes early before the show time. 

         請於演出15分鐘前抵達場地。

• Age Limit: Children under the age of 6 will not be admitted.

• Except for exempted persons, all visitors entering the Main Hall of the Shaw Auditorium are required to comply with the latest directions under Cap.599F.
