Theme-Based Research Scheme (TRS) Public Symposium 2024
BACKGROUND
The Theme-Based Research Scheme (TRS) is a collaborative research funding scheme supported by the HKSAR Government and administrated by the Research Grants Council (RGC). The scheme aims to focus research efforts of the University Grants Committee-funded universities on themes of strategic importance to the long-term development of Hong Kong.
ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM
The TRS Public Symposium is held regularly to share the achievements of the TRS projects with the research community, policy makers, industrial partners and the general public. This year, HKUST has been invited by the Research Grants Council (RGC) to host the 5th TRS Public Symposium.
During the Symposium, representatives from ten TRS project teams funded in the Eighth and Ninth Rounds will present their research findings across the following four TRS themes:
Theme 1: Understanding Diseases and Disease Prevention
Theme 2: Developing a Sustainable Environment
Theme 3: Enhancing Hong Kong’s Strategic Position as a Regional and International Business Centre
Theme 4: Advancing Emerging Research and Innovations Important to Hong Kong
All are welcome! A free single-trip shuttle bus service from Diamond Hill MTR Station to HKUST will be provided. Upon receipt of your registration form, further details will be provided in the confirmation email.
