Cultivating Joy Journey: Lok Yin Farm Volunteering Day

1:30pm - 5:30pm
Lamma Island

In support of Connect for Change- Global Service Day 2024, the HKUST Sustainability/Net-Zero Office is organising a volunteering day event in Lok Yin Farm, an organic farm in Lamma Island. The activity will provide our students and staff a unique chance to gain hands-on experience and deepen their understanding of organic farming practices. This immersive experience not only allows participants to learn about the day-to-day operations of an organic farm but also enables them to appreciate the benefits when compared to traditional farming methods that rely on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. They will take part in weeding, watering and other farming maintenance work during the event.
