We are excited to launch our plastic upcycling campaign to turn type 2 and 5 plastics into new furniture for our campus. Let's give these plastics a new life and make a positive change together!
How to Participate:
Look for type 2 (HDPE) and type 5 (PP) plastics in your daily items.
Drop off your clean and sorted plastics at designated collection points across campus:

Academic Concourse (opposite to Sci/Home & Engineering Commons)

Shaw Auditorium G/F (elevator next to HFT Life)

LG5 outdoor escalator & outside Student Society Rooms

Outside Starbucks

Hall 1-9 and GGT Hall lobbies

All Staff Quarter recycling areas
Tips for Recycling:

Check the bottom of your plastic containers for the recycling symbol with the numbers 2 or 5.

Remove all labels and stickers on your plastics for better upcycling results.

Ensure the plastics are clean and dry before dropping them off.
Let's work together to reduce waste and create something beautiful out of what would have been discarded.
