SSC Student Competition Voting Activity 

We are proud of the excellent entries in this year’s SSC Student Competition, and invite you to read about each one. Please CLICK HERE to watch their videos and check out their posters now! Entries include ideas on innovative and people-centric solutions that will make our campus a much more sustainable place to enjoy.

Once you are done, please vote on your favourite entries. Each staff and student can vote for one to five entries in each category. You may vote for both categories or one category. The voting period is from 5 November to 11 November 2021. 

The top five successful group proposals will be provided a budget of up to $25,000 to implement their project on campus during the 2021/22 academic year. The top five most innovative ideas will each receive a HK$2000 cash award! Voting results will be consolidated with the votes from the SSC Committee members to determine the category winners.

We hope this is just the beginning!

The Evaluation Committee selected these top 10 entries from each category and concluded that each of them were innovative ideas that have potential for implementation on our campus.

However, to make this a reality, we’ll need active support. If you are interested in getting involved to further develop one of these project ideas, we’d love to hear from you. Please let us know at ssc@ust.hk. If you are a faculty member, please consider creating a UROP or USEL or take an idea for a class project. If you are a staff, consider becoming a student mentor to help them move the project forward. If you are a fellow student, please volunteer to join a project team.
