Public Research Seminar by Advanced Materials Thrust, Function Hub, HKUST(GZ) - The holographic universe
In this talk, I will first introduce the idea of holography and AdS/CFT. Although AdS/CFT has encountered tremendous success in the last
decades, inflation and the present dark energy dominated universe is approximated as a de Sitter space. This motivates us to consider holography
and dS/CFT. Then I will describe two aspects of how can it be related to cosmology. First of all, since in AdS/CFT, exact string solutions in AdS
is important to understand the physics in the bulk spacetime, this motivates us to study several exact string solutions in de Sitter space. I will
describe the string solutions we have found and how they are different from the classical string solutions in the AdS spacetime. Second, inflation
can be described as a deformed CFT on the boundary. I will discuss the connection between the holographic non-Gaussianities and how it can be connected
to the symmetries of CFT. In the end, I will talk about the idea that spacetime can emerge from quantum entanglement and possible implications to
holographic cosmology.

Then, she moves to Stockholm university for the first postdoc and Kobe university for the second postdoc. Her research area is theoretical cosmology and its connection to high energy physics.
