Material informatics is an interdisciplinary field that has emerged from the cross-fertilization of materials science and information science. It plays an increasingly significant role in the process of discovering and designing new materials. With the emergence and development of new materials, technologies, and processes, material informatics focuses on efficient management and storage of diverse types of materials data. It aims to extract valuable information from data and promote the sharing of material information resources to expedite new materials discovery.

Advanced Materials and Materials Informatics Forum is organized by the Guangzhou Municipal Key Laboratory of Materials Informatics and hosted by Materials Characterization and Preparation Facility (GZ). The event will take place on July 23, 2023, at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). Experts and scholars from higher education institutions and research organizations have been invited to share their latest research achievements covering energy materials, carbon materials, nano materials, and polymers, which provide an in-depth discussion and intellectual exchange platform to bridge cutting-edge technology and future science.
