Description:
Youth LGBTQ+ and Allyship Training Program will be conducted at HKUST in collaboration with Mind HK and the HKUST Student Union Rainbow Bird, and supported by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hong Kong. This program aims to equip you as mental health allies through literacy training and skill development in peer support for the LGBTQ+ community. It empowers participants to create a more inclusive and understanding environment at HKUST. The Training Program will cover the following key learning areas:
- Fundamental knowledge of mental health and common misconceptions
- Understanding risk factors and support for the LGBTQ+ community's mental health
- Training in emotional and peer support skills
- Practices for self-care and mental wellness

Remarks:
- The Training Program is opened to students at aged 25 or below.
- This is a HMAW1905-recognized event in the "Personal Enrichment & Community Service" category under the "Self-directed Experience" of HMAW1905: Behavioral Foundations of University Education: Habits, Mindsets, and Wellness.
- To receive 3 hours, you must attend the series of workshop in full and miss no more than 10mins.
- This is an identical workshop as Cantonese Sessions conducted on Nov 11 & 18. HMAW1905 Course Hours of repeated participation will NOT be counted.
