Staff Volunteering- Food Angel Meal Boxes Preparation

With the newly launched HKUST staff volunteering program, the Sustainability/Net-Zero Office is organising a volunteering service for Food Angel Kitchen in Chai Wan on 13 January 2023.

Food Angel is a food rescue and food assistance program with the mission of “Waste Not, Hunger Not, With Love”. The program rescues edible surplus food from different sectors of the food industry that would otherwise be disposed of as waste. 

Staff volunteers will help prepare food ingredients and hot meal boxes in the Food Angel Kitchen with the surplus food collected from the food industry which will be distributed to the underprivileged communities in Hong Kong.

Time: 9:30am-12pm  (participants need to arrive 15 minutes earlier)

**After confirmation, participating staff should take “special leave” on 13 January with approval by his/her own supervisor.
