Safety of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and Green Aviation Technologies
High-accuracy modeling has integrated and addressed error sources, improved system's safety metrics and operational parameters such as accuracy/integrity, and improved protection level/alert limit. It is the first time to consolidate all error sources related to safety. The safe flapping-wing UAV has won the 1st prize @ AVIATION INDUSTRY CORPORATION OF CHINA Cup - International Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Grand Prix (first author). The safe fixed-wing UAV has won the 2nd prize @ AVIATION INDUSTRY CORPORATION OF CHINA Cup - International Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Grand Prix Competition. The green aviation taxiing system has been developed to address the key technologies of green aviation such as green aviation drive systems. The developed green taxi system has mitigated the spin-up and spring-back loads.
Dr. Min-Young HWANG’s primary research interests are Safety of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and Green Aviation Technologies, with a focus on target level of safety and accuracy/integrity for vehicle operations and green taxiing systems. Dr. Min-Young HWANG is a Ph.D. in Centre for Transport Studies at Imperial College London. As the first author, Dr. Min-Young HWANG has published eleven SCI research papers related to Safety of UAV and Green Aviation Technologies.
