Description:
The sharing session aims to provide a safe platform for participants to listen to a live dialogue between a trans individual from the community and a student representative from Rainbow Bird who advocates for the LGBTQ+ community. They will discuss the challenges they face and the support they receive as they navigate university life.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of trans individuals and LGBTQ+ community members, encouraging them to rethink the possible support they can offer their peers and promoting a more inclusive environment.
Gender Empowerment is a non-profit organization that supports the transgender community in Hong Kong. Rainbow Bird is a student group under the Dean of Students' Office (DSTO) that fosters a community for HKUST members to discuss LGBTQ+ issues and connect with like-minded individuals.
