Description:

According to research, the fear of speaking in public is the #1 fear of all fears. Over 41% of people worldwide have fear or anxiety dealing with speaking in front of groups. Symptoms experienced by those with public speaking anxiety include: sweaty palms, accelerated heart rate, blank mind, memory loss and even difficulty in breathing. Acknowledging that this fear is perfectly normal and you are not alone is the best strategy to deal with anxiety. Even very experienced speakers feel "butterflies" before going on stage because they all desire to give their best performances. Only speakers who don't care will not experience anxiety.

This interactive talk will explore the factors behind stage fright such as personality, perceptions, beliefs and thoughts processes.  Practical tips on reducing your stage fright and overcoming anxiety in public speaking will be shared.
