Northlandia in the Making - Artist Tour

Northlandia in the Making presents Northlandia, a fictional country developed by Michelle Fung as part of her long-term project 2084. Drawing on her Arctic residencies in 2022 and 2026, Fung transforms observations of landscape, light, climate, and time into an imagined world with its own geography, life forms, and social structures.

Featuring Arctic photographs, sky paintings, a newly envisioned world map, glacier ice installation, and the evolving Northlandia animation project, the exhibition explores how fiction can offer new perspectives on climate change and our relationship with the environment.

In this one-hour guided tour, join artist Michelle as she shares the ideas, inspirations, and creative process behind the exhibition.
