Join us for iLANG's exciting 3-day New Student Orientation program, where you'll experience a range of activities and sessions designed to promote intercultural exchange and language learning. Led by our student leaders and documented through vlogs, this event will take you on a cultural excursion to either the city or an island, and culminate in a closing day you won't forget. Our vlog competition will challenge you to showcase your creativity and document your experience in the most engaging and captivating way possible. And of course, there are exciting prizes to be won!

AIMS & OBJECTIVES
- Learn tips and strategies to help you succeed in your language learning journey at UST;
- Discover the many language learning resources and opportunities available through the Center for Language Education (CLE);
- Build lasting connections with peers from different backgrounds, creating a network of support that will enrich your academic and personal experiences;
- Immerse yourself in a dynamic intercultural environment, broadening your horizons and expanding your perspectives by exploring the diverse cultures and richness of Hong Kong.

EligibilityAll new students entering HKUST in September 2023 are welcome.CategoriesIn Case of Typhoon or RainstormThe iLANG Orientation will still take place when the Amber or Red Rainstorm Warning or a Typhoon Signal No.1/No.3 is in effect.
If a Typhoon Signal No.8 (or higher) or a Black Rainstorm Warning is in effect in the morning of Monday 28 August 2023, the first day of the program will be canceled. The program will resume on Tuesday 29 August 2023 if the weather permits.
