Overview
The Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2025 is ‘for the development of metal–organic frameworks (MOF)’. The prize highlights the emergence of reticular matters. With the three Laureates from the Asia-Pacific region, this symposium aims to amplify the region’s synergies in the field of Reticular Quantum Matter, and in particular, to promote their overlap with highly topical quantum matter and related technological areas which are a defining strength across the Hong Kong and Asia-Pacific region.
The focused program will cover, but is not limited to, synthesis of low-dimensional reticular materials, theoretical analysis and high precision experimental measurements of quantum properties of MOF and COF, magnetism, spin-correlation, Kondo physics, correlated-electron phases and other many-body effects in MOF.
