Toolbox Percussion presents "Pulse of Change", featuring a captivating array of innovative compositions and performances.
Nathaniel Stookey’s Junkestra on mesmerizing display of upcycled instruments will be staged after the Hong Kong premiere by Toolbox Percussion in 2023; Ken Ueno’s Arashiyama on bamboo with its ethereal sounds as a versatile and evocative instrument will stage its Hong Kong premiere. Other works including Urban Construction by Austin Yip, Torched and Wrecked by David Skidmore and works by Philip Glass also express a completely different sentiment. Through masterful compositions for marimba, vibraphone, bamboo, and various found objects, Toolbox Percussion will transport audiences on a sonic journey exploring themes of cultural diversity, sustainability, and social change.
敲擊襄將呈獻音樂會「變革的脈動」，以一系列的創新作品為觀眾帶來精彩難忘的晚上。
繼2023年由敲擊襄作香港首演後，納芬尼爾．史圖基(Nathaniel Stookey) 的代表作《廢物樂團》(Junkestra) 將再度於香港上演，觀眾能再次欣賞樂手在再造樂器上演奏；上野健(KenUeno) 的新作《嵐山》(Arashiyama) 將於音樂會上作香港首演，樂曲只有竹子作單一樂器，其獨特而清脆的聲音是讓人回味。葉浩堃的《建築都市》(Urban Construction)、大衛．斯基德莫爾(David Skidmore)《殆盡》(Torched and Wrecked) 以及菲利普·格拉斯的作品則為觀眾帶來另一番感受。透過馬林巴琴、顫音琴、竹子和各種現成物品，敲擊襄將帶領觀眾踏上探索文化多樣性、永續發展和社會變革主題的聲音之旅。
