Acting President, HKUST
Prof Shyy is serving as the Acting President of HKUST starting from 1 February 2018, with concurrent appointment as the Executive Vice-President and Provost, and Chair Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Prior to joining HKUST, he was Clarence L. "Kelly" Johnson Collegiate Professor and the Department Chair of Aerospace Engineering of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He had led several multi-institutional research projects funded by the US government and industries on future space transport, bio-inspired flight and computational aeronautical science, and is a fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
Chief Executive Officer, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation
Albert Wong joined Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) on February 1, 2016 as the Chief Corporate Development Officer. He was appointed the CEO on August 1, 2016. Albert holds an Engineering Degree from the University of Hong Kong, and an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Albert has over thirty years of commercial experience with various multinationals, including Schlumberger, Caterpillar, Emerson Electric and General Electric. Before joining the HKSTP, Albert was the CEO of ATAL Engineering in Hong Kong. Prior to that, Albert spent fifteen years with GE in the US headquarters, Asia-Pacific and China, in which he was responsible for M&A, Business Development, Product Management, and Business Operations. Albert's last positions at GE were China CEO of GE Oil & Gas; Asia CEO of GE Industrial Solutions.
Founder & Chairman, Hangzhou C-Sky Microsystems Co Ltd
Prof Yan is Founder and Chairman of Hangzhou C-Sky Microsystems Co Ltd, concurrently Director of the Expert Committee of the China Semiconductor Industry Association, and Leader of the Expert Team (Construction) of the National Exemplary School of Microelectronics. He has served as Dean of College of Information Science & Electronic Engineering and Dean of College of Electrical Engineering of Zhejiang University. He was also Chair of the China Committee of The International Federation for Information Processing, Deputy Director of the Expert Committee of the China National IC CAD, Leader of the Expert Committee of the State "15" 863 IC Design SoC Major Project, Director of the Expert Advisory Committee of the China National IC Talent Incubation Program and President of Zhejiang Electronics Society.
