Entering GBA Market - Tips for Choosing your Destination

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) comprises the two Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macao, and the nine municipalities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing in Guangdong Province. The GBA is an important support pillar to facilitate the advancement of the country’s Belt and Road Initiative, which is a significant national development strategy for promoting economic cooperation among countries along the Belt and Road route. With the development of GBA into a world-class city cluster, it is an attractive area to develop your business there.

Along the topic on the GBA, we are delighted to invite Ms. Crystal Liu of PricewaterhouseCoopers to deliver a webinar for our HKUST Startups. The webinar will first cover several broad aspects on entering the GBA market including R&D incentives, business and investment opportunities with cases and experience sharing.

In addition to the webinar, if you already have a relatively concrete plan/idea to enter any specific cities of the GBA, a follow-up 1-on-1 Clinic/Consultation Session can be arranged on the same date right after the webinar, subject to the availability of time offered by PricewaterhouseCoopers. Tentatively, individual sessions for a maximum of 8 HKUST Startups can be arranged, with no more than 30 minutes for each Startup. If your company already have a relatively concrete plan/idea, please make your application via the same Registration Form. Successful applicants will receive separate emails for confirmation of their applications to this 1-on-1 Session.
