Open data and model integration has become an urgent and important challenge for researchers and practitioners across many scientific domains, driven by the rapidly increasing availability of heterogeneous data sources. To address this challenge, CyberWater, a novel cyberinfrastructure system, has been developed as an open data and model integration framework for studying complex environmental and water-related problems. CyberWater enables users to integrate diverse models without modifying source code or writing custom interfacing software. The framework also supports on-demand access to high-performance computing resources for computationally intensive modeling tasks.
In this talk, Dr. Yao will present the design and development of the CyberWater framework and demonstrate how it significantly simplifies complex data integration, model coupling, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Several widely used hydrological models will be presented to illustrate the capabilities and flexibility of the CyberWater framework.
