Abstract
Ring-closing olefin metathesis (RCM) is a premier strategy for cyclizing acyclic dienes into cyclic alkenes, with extensive applications in natural product synthesis. Despite the efficacy of transition-metal carbene catalysts, RCM frequently suffers from competing polymerization and poor E/Z selectivity. In this seminar, we will explore methodological advancements designed to address these limitations and enhance the overall efficiency of RCM reactions.
