In a world grappling with climate change and the imperative shift towards a circular economy, this presentation explores the game-changing capacity that water innovation and circular economy enable to provide solutions to sustainability of the future.  While many circular water innovation technologies are available, significant challenges exist in adopting them to make a greater impact on sustainability.  This presentation navigates the multifaceted landscape of water innovation and circular economy, and how they play a critical role in addressing food, energy and water security and climate challenges.  Broad-ranging research, effective collaboration, and increased engagement are needed to achieve sustainability of the future.

Dr. Ted Mao is Chief Technology Officer, Evercloak, and Founder and Principal Consultant, MW Technologies to help start-up companies develop and commercialize new technologies in the CleanTech space.  Ted was Vice President, Research and Chief Technology Officer for 14 years at Trojan Technologies, one of the largest UV water treatment companies in the world.  He is also an executive board member and President at the International UV Association (IUVA). He was elected as a fellow into the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE).
