An Intensive Program for Research-Ready PhD Students and Postdocs
With the generous support of the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute, Duke-NUS Medical School and Duke University are thrilled to invite outstanding PhD students and postdoctoral fellows to apply for the Chen Institute–Duke–NUS AI Boot Camp in Singapore.
This intensive, four-day program is designed to equip research-ready PhD students and postdocs with a deep understanding of cutting-edge AI technologies and their transformative impact on real-world applications in healthcare, finance, and beyond.
Program Overview
The boot camp will take place June 22–25 (Monday–Thursday) at Duke-NUS Medical School, National University of Singapore, offering a highly interactive and immersive learning experience where participants will explore emerging research directions through:
Short Courses: Each day features two half-day sessions (3 hours + 30-minute tea break) led by world-leading experts in AI, machine learning, and domain applications.
Dynamic Brainstorming Sessions: Collaborative discussions to explore frontier research questions and interdisciplinary innovations.
Networking Opportunities: Engage with peers, faculty, and industry leaders from across the globe.
To ensure meaningful engagement and in-depth discussions, admission is limited to 50 outstanding PhD students and postdocs.
Extended Event: Duke-NUS Health Data Science Symposium
On Friday, June 26, the boot camp extends into the Duke-NUS Health Data Science Symposium, bringing together leaders from academia and industry to discuss the latest advances in AI-enabled health research, clinical applications, and policy.
