About the Conference

The APRU Sustainable Cities and Landscapes Conference 2026 will bring together experts from academia, industry, government, and local communities to reflect on the transformations unfolding across the region and to co‑design pathways toward a more sustainable and resilient future. All sessions will be delivered in person.

 

The 2026 Conference will convene in Shanghai, hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, under the theme “Evolutionary Cities and Landscapes in the Pacific Rim.”

Submit Your Abstracts and Proposals

 

We are accepting abstracts (scientific, technical, policy, or development practices for oral or poster presentation) and proposals (training, workshop, scientific session, fora, etc.) for organized sessions and exhibits relevant to the Conference sub-themes.

 

Deadline for abstract submission: January 15, 2026.

 

Abstract and proposal Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract should contain introduction, objectives, methods, highlights of results, conclusion and recommendation. This should be no more than 200 words with three to five key words.
  • Proposal should contain the name of activities, proposed target audience, number of people, materials and space needed. It should be no more than 200 words, with potential cost listed.

The SCL Program adopts a “working group” framework designed to generate actionable knowledge and targeted plans through each annual conference.
