Be Kind to Yourself: A Self-Compassion Journey
Date:
31 Mar 2025 (Mon)
Time:
2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
Description:
Have you been hard on yourself lately? In the demanding environment of university life, we often respond to our failures and pain by judging and criticizing ourselves harshly. Self-compassion involves recognizing our pain and suffering during difficult times and giving ourselves the care and kindness we would offer to a good friend. Research shows that practicing self-kindness rather than self-judgment is important for emotional well-being. This approach helps us build the resilience we need to navigate the ups and downs of life in a healthier, more courageous, and empowering way.
