Autonomous Radio-Control Car (RC-Car) with A.I. Technology – Introduction & Workshop Series

We like to share with you the technology and excitement behind Radio-Control Cars (RC-Car).  It is more than meets the eye!

Going hand-in-hand with the autonomous vehicle’s technological development under HKUST Professor Liu Ming’s leadership, the RC-Car study intends to explore new horizons in terms of enhancing a vehicle’s speed, obstacle bypass, collision reduction, computer vision, essential data capture, and to expand the limitless potentials of unmanned vehicles.

We also like to invite you to join the university-wide RC-Car Competition which will be held in early Spring 2021 if you like to challenge your skills and creativity with other passionate students!

To start off, you should join our 1st RC-Car Workshop being held at the DreamLab at BASE on 10th Nov 2020!

In this first workshop, the RC-Car Racing Lab Project-In-Charge Peide CAI will show you how he builds the racing car from scratch.  He will offer step-by-step demonstration on how the car is assembled to equip the car with capabilities such as: A.I., visual, video tracking, data capturing, wifi, speed control, obstacle detection, space sensing, power, and relevant installation tips, etc.
