The Ocean covers more than 70% of the Earth’s surface and supports billions of livelihoods on earth. While the ocean is still one of the least known areas of the world, an effective management of ocean and coastal zone resources through scientific research and programmes will be essentially critical for the sustainable development of our ocean.
We are very passionate at providing experiences in research and nurturing young scientists in the area of Marine Science and Technology. In 2021, we have successfully hosted the 1st International Symposium on Marine Science and Engineering for Young Scientists and Postgraduates, with around 90 talks and attracted around 300 participants.
This year, the 2nd international symposium on Marine Science and Technology for Young Scientists and Postgraduates to be held by The Hong Kong Branch of the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Guangzhou) during 13-15 July 2022 (GMT +8, HK Time) will gather distinguished scientists, young scholars and research graduates to discuss the recent advances in Marine Science and Technology.
