BRIEF INTRODUCTION
The HKGNA Music Festival 2025 Opening Concert features the brilliant Canadian violinist Timothy Chooi, returning by popular demand. A laureate of the Joseph Joachim and Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competitions, Chooi captivates audiences worldwide with his electrifying artistry on the legendary 1714 “Dolphin” Stradivarius. Also performing is Dr. Zhang Yue, Grand Prize winner of the HKGNA International Music Competition and Assistant Professor at CUHK Shenzhen, celebrated for his refined artistry. Joining them is the HKGNA Young Virtuosi, Hong Kong’s elite ensemble of rising stars. Together, these exceptional artists ignite the stage in a thrilling evening that celebrates excellence, inspiration, and the future of classical music.
