On behalf of The Institution of Engineering and Technology Hong Kong (The IET Hong Kong) Younger Members Section, I would like to invite you to recommend your students to submit projects to YPEC 2026 which will be held on 19th July, 2026. The active participation of your teams in the past YPEC undoubtedly contributed innovative insights to the engineering community, and we very much look forward to your participation again in the coming YPEC 2026.

 

YPEC is an annual engineering project exhibition and presentation competition for young engineers and students. The theme of this year is “Empact”, which aspires to ignite every innovative engineering idea and unleash infinite possibilities from our young professionals. By joining YPEC 2026 Undergraduate and Postgraduate Section, participants can enjoy the following benefits:

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPOSURE

- Present your project to judges from academia and the engineering industry

- Display your project in our exhibition area (on prior request)
- Gain publicity and broaden your professional network

 -Showcase networking and intellectual exchange with other enterprises


AWARDS

- All participants will be awarded certificates
- Accepted project abstracts will be published in official proceedings
- Cash prizes, certificates and trophies will be awarded to the Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, and winner of the Best Innovation Award

- Cash prizes and certificates will be awarded to the winner of the My Favorite Poster Award


OTHER OPPORTUNITY

YPEC is a flagship event aiming at bringing together the industry, academics, tertiary students and secondary school students. It is a precious chance for students to exchange ideas with professionals in the industry.
