25 Sep 2023 (Mon)

Time:

11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Description:

The beginning of a new semester can be a challenging and emotionally distressing time as students navigate new social environments. Years of research have found that security is based on establishing a secure attachment relationship, and people with secure attachment relationships have a higher ability to adjust their emotions, solve problems on their own, and develop better social skills.

In this workshop, you will

  • Explore the concepts of attachment theory and the impact of attachment styles and family interactions on your interpersonal connection
  • Learn about the challenges students may face and develop strategies to manage your emotional well-being in challenges through sharing of case studies
  • Have a taste of how self-hypnosis may help manage emotional distress in social interaction
