TECH Talk: Unveiling Faculty Technologies for Entrepreneurship

2:30pm - 5:00pm
via Zoom or Room 3616 (via Lifts 29-30)

The Tech-Ship Program, newly launched to bridge faculty members (who want to commercialise their research outcomes) and students (who wish to explore entrepreneurial possibilities with faculty members).

“TECH Talk” Event Details:

1. Format: each faculty member will spend 15-mins to introduce his/her technology/ research output via Zoom, followed by a 5-min Q&A

2. Presentation Content: To inspire the target audience (HKUST students from all Schools) in exploring the possibilities of merging the technology/ research output with new/ existing entrepreneurial development, it would be helpful if the presentation can include information about the existing/ potential areas of applications of the technology.

Post-Event Follow-up:

Students who are interested to further commercialize the technology will approach faculty to explore the potential entrepreneurship opportunities. Faculty members who have teamed up with students will receive a Tech-Ship Award of up to HK$ 20,000 as support and appreciation.

We hope to continue to join hands with faculty members in driving student entrepreneurship based on university technologies while realizing the commercialization potential of these technologies.
