Social Good Action — Call for Proposal

12:00pm - 12:00am

During the pandemic, social problems escalate and the vulnerable communities become further left behind. Social Good Action provides funding for you to initiate projects and take action that can bring positive impact to the Hong Kong community in this challenging time.

Despite being physically separated, it is still possible for us to care about each other. If you are concerned about some social issues and have some ideas of action which can help to improve the condition, do not hesitate to make a proposal to us. The action can be a small step, no matter it is a one-day service or a whole campaign, you can still make a difference to the community. Successful applicants will receive subsidy to implement the project. Together, we can be part of the solution in supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Through Social Good Action, you will be able to:

  • Collaborate with different stakeholders to create a positive impact
  • Turn changemaking ideas into action based on authentic community needs
  • Elevate leadership skills and influence other HKUST members to become a Changemaker
What To DoThe proposed projects should reach beyond the campus to the larger community, demonstrate an awareness of and concern for social issues and dynamics, and include constructive and effective actions that help improve a social condition. In view of the pandemic development, priority will be given to projects conducted online.

The proposed project should start before 31 December 2022. Successful applications will receive subsidy from the Community Engagement Project Fund, up to HK$10,000 depending on project scope and scale, to implement the project.
