MentorHUB@HKUST: 1 on 1 Mentoring Session (June)

MentorHUB 1 on 1 Mentoring Session in June 2022 is open for registration! Take the golden chance to grab the practical guidelines and tips for your startups on fundraising. In the consultation session, our Mentor Mr. Kenneth Chung (Partner of SQ CAPITAL GROUP) will share and focus on how Startups should prepare for fundraising. 

Entrepreneurship Center is ready to support and assist you to identify the opportunities and challenges that your startup project will have. Please do not hesitate to join the mentoring session to exchange with Mentor Kenneth!

Remarks: Target startups with prior fundraising experiences and basic understanding of fundraising process.

Brief biography of Mentor 

Kenneth

Mr. CHUNG Chi Kin Kenneth is a Partner at SQ Capital, a venture investment and financial advisory firm that focus on technology companies in Asia with investment portfolios of notable start-ups such as: Alfred24, Loship, Zeek, etc. SQ Capital is a Co-Investment Partner of the HKUST Entrepreneurship Fund.Mr. Chung has around 20 years of capital market experiences and possesses expertise in venture capital, investment banking, corporate finance and advisory. Prior to joining SQ Capital, Mr. Chung served senior capacities in various investment banks such as: BOCI Asia, Haitong International and CCB International, etc where he was mainly responsible for corporate finance transactions of IPOs, M&As, private capital market advisory, etc. Before his investment banking career, Mr. Chung worked at the audit department of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and participated in audit engagements of IPOs and public companies.Mr. Chung received his Bachelor of Business and Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and his Master of Laws degree in Chinese Business Law from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Mr. Chung has been admitted as a Member and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in August 2006 and August 2011, respectively. ***Each startup team will have 30 mins to chat with the assigned Mentor during the Session. Exact timeslot(s) assigned to your team will be confirmed in the confirmation email which will be sent to successful teams 2 days in advance of the date of mentoring session.

Remarks: 

1) Each team will have around 30 mins to chat with the Mentor for seeking advice on their startup project;

2) HKUST Entrepreneurship Center(EC) will assign the mentor for the startup teams/mentees based on the their field, preference and availability;

3) Due to the seat limitation, EC may only assign one of the timeslots that your team chosen. The confirmed timeslots with zoom link will be sent to you 2 days in advance of the date of mentoring session.
