This concert is performed by The Chinese Orchestra of Zhejiang Conservatory of Music in celebration of the 35th Anniversary of HKUST. Under the baton of conductors WANG Fujian and ZHOU Zhan, the Orchestra will be joined by an outstanding line-up of soloists: world-renowned pipa virtuoso WU Man, erhu player ZHANG Yongyin, baritone LIU Tao, pianist WU Junlin, and dizi (bamboo flute) player WEI Sijun. Together, they will bring a magnificent programme of traditional and contemporary Chinese orchestral music to HKUST campus.

浙江音樂學院於2016年3月1日在中國浙江省杭州市成立，是浙江省第一所音樂藝術本科院校，學科以藝術學為主，設有11個專業，包括作曲與作曲技術理論、音樂學、音樂表演、舞蹈學、舞蹈表演、舞蹈編導、表演、音樂劇、戲劇學、藝術與科技，以及音樂科技。自成立以來，樂團屢獲邀在G20 峰會等重大國際場合演出。2016 年樂團遠赴捷克、奧地利舉辦專場音樂會。樂團致力促進海外文化交流，2024年曾在捷克及斯洛伐克的「歡樂春節中國年」活動中演奏，以及到毛里裘斯參加「樂和東方」民族音樂會及「樂和四海」國慶民族音樂會。
Founded on 1 March 2016 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, China, Zhejiang Conservatory of Music is the province’s first music college dedicated to the arts, offering 11 areas of specialization: composition and composition art theory, musicology, music performance, dance studies, dance performance, choreography, general performance, musical theatre, drama, arts and technology, and music technology. Since its founding, the Orchestra has performed at major international occasions including the G20 Summit. Its touring history began in 2016 with performances across Czechia and Austria. It has since played an active role in strengthening cultural ties abroad, performing at the Happy Chinese New Year event in Czechia and Slovakia, and the Harmonic from Orient Concert and Chord of Friendship Concert in Mauritius in 2024.

2. Free seating arrangement is adopted on a first-come-first-served basis.
3. Children under the age of 6 will not be admitted.
4. No food or drinks are allowed.
5. Unauthorized photo-taking, audio and video recording are strictly prohibited.
6. Late-comers will be admitted only if there is a suitable break in the performance.
7. A ticket holder may be refused admission if any details on the ticket have been omitted or altered or if the ticket is damaged.
8. The organizer reserves the right to add, withdraw or substitute artists and/or vary advertised programs, seating arrangement and audience capacity.
